THE CLASSIC SUMMER READS!

May 24, 2017

It’s sweltering hot and the only thing I feel like I can do happily in this heat is sit at home with my air conditioning or the ceiling fan blasting, with a gigantic glass of coffee or juice so cold, that it numbs my teeth as I take a sip. I am the last person to see a decrease in appetite, but the heat has managed even that! There are, however, a ton of books sitting on my bookshelf that beckon me, craving to be read. This is a list of books that could be your summer reads and I can assure you that you will have spent a more productive summer than most, if you get around to reading even half of these!

There is no order or specific reason to why I picked these books out of the million others which are also a must read! But these are a few classics and it would be a shame to miss out on them, if you have the time and the will to read. They aren’t your ordinary novels and by that I mean they don’t work like a Jeffery Archer and Sidney Sheldon novel; I wouldn’t want to be an elitist and call those trash but these books are works of art. It might take more from your side to delve into the story, the characters and the theme of these books, but the effort is worth it. Because what you gain once you put the book down, is something no other genre fiction novel can ever offer.
